Winter at the Adair Country Inn
Historic and renowned country inn that is an intimate and romantic 11-guest room retreat in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Known for excellent service, well-kept grounds and fairytale gardens, the Adair Country Inn is just off of Interstate 93 in Bethlehem and it is in the midst of outdoor recreational opportunities such as hiking, biking, nearby Alpine and Nordic skiing, and snowshoeing. Located in a region brimming with antique shops, art galleries and quaint towns and villages such as Bethlehem, Sugar Hill, and Littleton.
The Adair restaurant has flavorful New England style cuisine in a dining room with a fireplace, an outdoor garden patio, and an intimate library pub. A full menu is available for dinner Wed-Sun at 5:00-9:00 PM and an Apres menu Wed-Fri 4:00-6:00 PM.
Huntington Room at the Adair Country Inn
The property has stately pines, white birch trees and a stone walkway with spectacular views of the surrounding White Mountains. Scenic grounds, walking trails, and colorful gardens on the estate were designed in 1927 by the Olmsted brothers (sons of Frederick Law Olmsted the architect and journalist who designed New York City’s Central Park, the U.S. Capitol in Washington DC and the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago.
Some of the 11 rooms at the Adair feature modern furnishings like granite countertops and jetted tubs while other rooms maintain rustic charm like the Sinclair Room with four-post bed, wingback chair, dormer windows, private patio, and a cathedral ceiling. The Adair is deliberately small and naturally quiet for a relaxing ambiance with an uncompromising attention to detail and highly personalized warm service. It’s pet friendly, too.

In the winter there’s more than 180 acres with easy to follow ungroomed trails for snowshoers or cross country skiers and five miles of trails at the neighboring Rocks Estate Christmas tree farm. The Adair is close to Alpine ski areas including 10 minutes to Cannon Mountain, Bretton Woods, and Loon Mountain Resort. Nearby Nordic ski areas include Bretton Woods Nordic Center, Bear Notch Ski Touring Center, Franconia Village Cross Country Center, Great Glen Trails Outdoor Center, and JacksonXC.
Adair Country Inn & Restaurant is located between the village of Bethlehem and the town of Littleton, New Hampshire, near the junction of Interstate 93 (Exit 40) and Route 302. It's 10 miles north of Franconia Notch.
