The Bolton Valley Nordic Center features an alpine ski area and a resort village and there are more than 100 km of xc ski and backcountry trails that skiers of all ability levels can enjoy. The Nordic Center has 26 km of trails that are groomed for classic and skate xc skiing and additionally serves as a gateway to some of New England's best backcountry terrain. The Bolton Valley Inn has packages with 1-2 bedroom suites and 1-4 bedroom condos within a village complex that includes restaurants, a tavern, grocery/deli, child care services, and a sports center. The sports center has a heated indoor pool, sauna, hot tub, indoor tennis, workout area, and big screen TV.
Night skiing on the alpine ski area slopes is Wed- Sat with 12 trails that are lit and open from 4 - 9 PM. The alpine hill has 5,200 acres with 64 trails and 6 lifts.
Bolton Valley Nordic Center trail fees (NBU includes Nordic, Backcountry or Uphill access) are $17 for a full day midweek for adults and $25 on weekends. Kids aged 6 and under are free. XC ski rental equipment is $30 and $20 for youth (7-17); heavier equipment for backcountry skiing is $70 or a skating ski package is $35. Snowshoes rentals are $25 for adults and $15 for youth.
Directions: From Burlington, VT take I-89 South to Exit 10 (Waterbury), Left off exit ramp on VT Route 100. right on US Route 2 for 8 miles then on to the Bolton Valley Access Road for 5 miles. From the south take Exit 11 and take a right off of the exit ramp and continue with the directions above.
