The Sleepy Hollow Inn Ski & Bike Center is tucked away on the backroads of Vermont with a relaxing lodge in the hills and hollows of Huntington. It is known for events such as weddings in the Round Barn, and for its trails for cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and mountain biking. Sleepy Hollow was formerly the Sherman Hollow Touring Center and was reopened in October 1999 by the Enman family, who continue to operate it today. One of the most sustainable ski areas in the country, Sleepy Hollow has a total of 100 kw from solar panel arrays to provide for electric needs that includes power for a snowmaking system, used to guarantee snow early in the season, a sugaring operation, and three homes. There is also solar-heated hot water and they use conservation techniques for the operation and the surrounding forestry. Responsible and sustainable undertakings include woodstoves for heat, reuse of towels, efficient lighting, chemical free cleaning products, and an organic maple sugaring operation.

There are 32 km of trails groomed by a Prinoth Husky eMotion electric groomer (one of the few at USA ski resorts) for classic and skate skiing and another 20 km of dedicated and marked snowshoe trails. Click Sustainable Operation at Sleepy Hollow for more info.
Operating hours are 9 AM - 4:30 PM and there's a lighted 2.5 km ski loop open until 9 PM on Mon/Wed/Fri nights. Call ahead for the quality of the ice skating pond, which is available for night skating, too.
Rentals are available for cross country skiing and snowshoeing with snowshoes for toddlers to adults as large as size 15 shoes, and there are a limited number of ice skates to rent. Trail access is free for the inn's guests.

The accommodations at Sleepy Hollow Inn are distinctively furnished guest rooms with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The rooms range from $135 to $165 per night with fees for extra guests. Homemade country breakfast is served and there is a wood-fired sauna next to the swimming pond. One of the unique characteristics of Sleepy Hollow Inn is the Basement Bookstore with a collection of 40,000 used and antique books.
The Ethan Allen Room is a 2-room suite that sleeps up to 5 with a queen bed, futon bed, and a twin bed. The roominess and full bath make it great for families or business travelers. The Molly Stark Room, Ann Story Room, and Catamount Room each sleep 3 people. The accommodations for up to 4 people include the Brick Fireplace Room, which is the downstairs guest room and has a fieldstone fireplace; the Seth Warner Room with 4 twin beds and a shared bathroom, and the Remember Baker Room with a full sized bed and 2 twins and a shared bathroom.
The Butternut Cabin is one mile from the lodge by ski, snowshoe, mountain bike, or hike and it is more rustic (no power or water) with 4 bunks beds for your sleeping bags and pads. The Round Barn Event Center can accommodate activities (meetings, weddings, etc.) with up to 200 people and events can be catered for lunch and/or dinner.
Mountain biking is available on the trails from sunrise to sunset approximately May 15 - October 24.

Take Route 2 to Richmond and make right on Bridge Street onto Huntington Road. go 5 miles and make a right on Sherman Hollow Road, the inn is 1.8 miles on the left. 18 miles from Burlington, VT; 4 hours from Boston; 5.5 hours from NYC.
